Community and Child Safety Standards
Aralio is a parent-managed tutoring marketplace. These Standards apply to Parents, Tutors, Student participation arranged by a Parent, personnel, and anyone using Aralio’s communication or session workflows. They supplement the Terms and Tutor Provider Agreement.
1. Core safety model
- Students below 18 do not create or control accounts in the MVP.
- Adult Parents manage Student profiles, bookings, Credits, and communications.
- Tutors are approved before public listing, but a badge means only the checks specifically described.
- Adult Parent–Tutor messaging stays within Aralio and remains connected to a booking/request.
- A Tutor receives Student information only on a need-to-know basis for an accepted or active booking.
- No off-platform payment, private Student contact, or secret communication is allowed.
- Aralio is not an emergency service. Immediate danger should be reported first to the appropriate emergency, law-enforcement, or child-protection authority.
2. Parent responsibilities
Parents must provide truthful authority and Student information, limit sensitive details to what is useful, and provide age- and need-appropriate supervision. A Parent should remain reasonably available during a session, verify meeting links, and ensure the Student participates in an appropriate environment.
Parents must not:
- give the adult account or verification code to a Student;
- ask a Tutor to communicate secretly or directly with a Student;
- share unnecessary medical, identity, home-address, financial, or social-media data;
- request off-platform payment or tutoring intended to bypass safety controls; or
- record or publish a session without proper notice, authorization, and consent.
3. Tutor boundaries
A Tutor must maintain professional, age-appropriate boundaries at all times.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- sexual, romantic, suggestive, grooming, exploitative, coercive, humiliating, discriminatory, threatening, violent, or retaliatory behavior;
- requests for secrecy, private gifts, personal photos, personal contact details, home address, social accounts, or private/off-platform meetings with a Student;
- contact with a Student outside the Parent-managed and approved workflow;
- diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or regulated professional claims outside lawful and verified scope;
- using a Student’s identity, work, photo, voice, messages, or learning information in advertising, a portfolio, research, or model training;
- recording, screenshotting, photographing, streaming, or publishing without Aralio authorization and legally valid notice/consent;
- sharing meeting links with unauthorized people or allowing an unapproved substitute to teach; and
- preserving Student data in personal devices, notebooks, clouds, or messaging apps after it is no longer needed.
4. Communication rules
Adult Parent\u2013Tutor messages may cover scheduling, the Student’s learning needs, preparation, meeting link, session follow-up, and support. Keep messages respectful, relevant, and minimally identifying.
Do not share:
- personal mobile numbers, private email addresses, social-media handles, or external messaging accounts;
- passwords, one-time codes, payment credentials, or complete account information;
- external payment instructions;
- precise home addresses or Student contact details;
- sexual, violent, discriminatory, hateful, illegal, or privacy-invasive material; or
- unrelated sensitive Student/family information.
Automated tools may flag suspected contact details or harmful content for human review. Authorized personnel may review/preserve messages for support, safety, moderation, privacy, security, fraud, disputes, or legal compliance. Aralio does not claim continuous human monitoring.
5. Online session rules
- Use only the meeting method shown or approved for the booking.
- Confirm the identity of the adult Parent and Tutor where reasonably necessary.
- The Tutor must teach from an appropriate environment and prevent unauthorized persons from observing.
- The Parent should prevent unrelated people from joining and remain available.
- Use age-appropriate content and avoid unnecessary disclosure of a Student’s personal environment.
- Do not record, photograph, screenshot, stream, or post a session under the MVP default.
- If an unsafe or unauthorized person joins, end or pause the session and report it.
- If connectivity prevents meaningful service, use the booking support/reschedule process rather than moving to unapproved private contact.
6. Reporting a concern
Report safety concerns through [SAFETY EMAIL/URL]. Include only information necessary to assess the concern: booking reference, involved account, time, description, and available evidence. Do not publicly post allegations or conduct an independent investigation.
For immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate child-protection/law-enforcement authority first, then notify Aralio when safe. Aralio will designate trained primary and backup incident owners before launch.
7. How Aralio may respond
Depending on severity and evidence, Aralio may:
- acknowledge and triage the report;
- preserve relevant logs, messages, booking data, and supplied evidence under restricted access;
- pause a booking, messaging, payout, profile, or account;
- contact the Parent, Tutor, safety owner, privacy owner/DPO, counsel, insurer, provider, or authority;
- issue a warning, require training/re-verification, restrict services, suspend, or terminate;
- address associated Credits, refund, dispute, or chargeback; and
- make a lawful report where required or necessary to protect a person.
Aralio will minimize disclosure, avoid promising confidentiality it cannot guarantee, and document decisions. Retaliation against a good-faith reporter is prohibited.
8. Emergency and safeguarding limitation
Aralio and Tutors do not replace emergency, medical, psychological, or child-protection professionals. A Tutor who receives a disclosure should listen without interrogation, avoid promising secrecy, record only necessary facts, end immediate risk where safely possible, and follow the approved escalation procedure.
9. Enforcement and review
Serious or repeated violations may lead to immediate restriction or termination and a lawful report. Aralio will review these Standards at least annually and after a material incident, feature change, or legal change. Material changes may require notice or re-acceptance for Tutors.
