Children's Privacy Notice
For Students below 18 and the adults who care for them
. The short version for Students
Aralio helps your Parent find and arrange online tutoring for you.
- You do not create your own Aralio account. Your Parent manages your profile.
- We ask for only the information needed to find a suitable Tutor and support your lessons.
- Your information is not shown publicly.
- A Tutor sees only the information needed for a confirmed or active booking.
- Do not share your phone number, email, social-media account, password, home address, or private photos with a Tutor.
- Tell your Parent or another trusted adult if anything online makes you worried or uncomfortable.
- We do not sell your information or use it for targeted advertising.
- Aralio does not record tutoring sessions in the MVP. No one should record or post a session without proper permission.
You can ask your Parent to help you see, correct, or remove your information. You can also ask questions at [PRIVACY/DPO EMAIL].
1. Who is responsible
[LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], doing business as Aralio, is responsible for the personal data it controls on the Platform.
Address: [COMPLETE PHILIPPINE BUSINESS ADDRESS]
Telephone: [TELEPHONE]
Privacy/DPO: [DPO NAME AND EMAIL]
2. Parent-managed profiles only
Students below 18 do not independently register, accept the adult Terms, buy Credits, or control accounts in the MVP. A Parent or legally authorized adult creates the Student profile and confirms that they may arrange tutoring and provide the information.
A Parent must not hand over the adult account to a Student. Aralio may ask the Parent to re-confirm authority if information is inconsistent or a safety concern arises.
3. Information a Parent may add
The current Student profile may include:
- first name or nickname;
- age and/or grade level;
- subjects for which support is requested;
- learning goals or needs;
- optional learning-needs, disability, SPED, behavioral-support, accessibility, or similar notes that may be sensitive;
- booking, schedule, assigned Tutor, session status, and completion information; and
- limited messages, support records, and safety/dispute information connected to the tutoring relationship.
The Parent should add only what is useful for tutoring. Do not upload a Student’s government ID, complete medical file, precise home address, personal contact details, private social-media details, or unrelated family information unless Aralio specifically requests it under a lawful, clearly explained process.
The MVP does not collect lesson recordings, quiz/assessment responses, books viewed, or Student social-media data as standard features. This notice must be updated before a future feature begins collecting them.
4. Why the information is used
Aralio uses Student information to:
- create the Parent-managed learning profile;
- match and request appropriate Tutors;
- share limited learning information with the assigned Tutor;
- schedule, administer, and document tutoring sessions;
- support the Parent and Tutor and resolve booking issues;
- protect Students and users, moderate booking-related communication, investigate reports, and preserve necessary evidence;
- maintain transaction and legal records; and
- improve the Platform using aggregated or properly de-identified information where appropriate.
Student data is not used for targeted advertising, sold to data brokers, or used to train general-purpose AI models as an MVP purpose.
6. Who can see Student information
The Parent
The Parent who manages the profile can review and update it, subject to security and legal restrictions. The Parent may request deletion or deactivation.
The assigned Tutor
A Tutor should receive only what is reasonably needed for an accepted or active booking, such as the Student’s nickname, age/grade, subject, learning goal, relevant support need, schedule, and the Tutor’s own session history. A Tutor must not receive Parent payment details, the Student’s direct contact information, unrelated notes, other Tutors’ records, or complete Platform activity.
Tutor access must end when no longer needed. Tutors may not copy Student data into personal files, use it for advertising or portfolios, or keep it outside approved tools except for a lawful safety report.
Authorized Aralio personnel and providers
Authorized personnel may access limited Student records for support, safety, moderation, disputes, privacy requests, security, audits, or legal compliance. Confirmed service providers may process data for hosting, authentication, database/storage, communication, or approved meeting tools under applicable safeguards. The final adult Privacy Policy and vendor register must identify the actual launch providers and international processing.
Authorities and advisers
Aralio may disclose limited information to child-protection authorities, law enforcement, courts, regulators, counsel, or other recipients when lawfully necessary to protect a person or comply with a legal obligation.
7. Messages, meetings, and recording
Aralio messaging is between adult Parent and Tutor account holders and is tied to a booking or request. Students must not privately message Tutors or move communications to personal phone, email, social-media, or messaging accounts.
Sessions may occur through an approved or agreed online meeting method. The Parent should provide age-appropriate supervision and remain reasonably available. Aralio is not an emergency service.
The MVP default is no Aralio session recording. Tutors and Parents must not record, photograph, screenshot, stream, or publish a Student or session without Aralio authorization and the specific lawful notice/consent required.
8. Retention
Aralio keeps identifiable Student data only as long as reasonably necessary. Proposed launch baseline, subject to validation:
| Student record | Proposed retention |
|---|---|
| Active Student profile | While active; then 12 months after deletion/deactivation request unless an exception applies |
| Parent authority/consent evidence | Up to 10 years after the relevant relationship/claim period, subject to necessity review |
| Booking/session status and transaction link | Same period as the related commercial record, proposed 10 years |
| Parent\u2013Tutor messages | 24 months after the related booking closes unless preserved for a case |
| Learning/support notes | While needed for active tutoring; review at least annually and delete 12 months after the profile is inactive unless lawfully preserved |
| Safety/dispute/legal records | Case-specific while reasonably necessary for protection, investigation, reporting, or legal claims |
| Session recordings | Not collected by Aralio in the MVP |
Aralio must implement deletion/anonymization for production databases, private files, search indexes, logs, backups, and processors before promising a completed deletion.
9. Safety and security
Student profiles and sensitive support notes must be private, protected by server-side role checks and Row Level Security, and excluded from public Tutor pages and search. Tutors may receive only need-to-know data. Credentials and Student-related files use private storage and time-limited or server-authorized access. Sensitive admin actions should be logged and reviewed.
No system is risk-free. A Parent should promptly report suspected unauthorized access, inappropriate contact, data sharing, or safety concerns to [SAFETY CONTACT] and [PRIVACY/DPO EMAIL]. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services or the appropriate authority first.
10. Rights of Students and Parents
Children are data subjects and rights holders. A Student may ask questions and participate in decisions in a way appropriate to age and maturity. A Parent or legally authorized representative may request access, correction, objection, erasure/blocking, or portable data where applicable, and may file a complaint or seek available remedies.
Contact [PRIVACY/DPO EMAIL]. Aralio will verify the request proportionately and consider the Student’s best interests, safety, legal obligations, and the rights of others. Complaints may also be filed with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
11. Changes
We will explain material changes in clear Parent-facing and age-appropriate language. We will obtain new Parent consent when a new or incompatible purpose requires it. Historical versions will remain available in the Legal Center.
